Stoudt's Brewery is located in Adamstown, about ten minutes away. They
are known for their steaks, great bread, German food, and award-winning beer. They
also feature a seafood bar and wonderful cheese plate. Some of our favorites include:
- Seared Scallops - Seared jumbo scallops and grilled shitake
mushrooms in a puff pastry shell, with fresh snow peas, and finished off with saffron
cream & roasted pepper drizzle.
- Traditional German Schnitzel - Twin medallions of center cut
pork loin pounded & breaded, lightly fried and seasoned with shallots & garlic
served over spaetzle.
- Beef Wellington - Oven-roasted Filet Mignon with our Chefs
special stuffing, wrapped in puff pastry, finished with a Burgundy demi-glace with herbal
essence. Not recommended for Medium-Well or Well Done..

The Green
Hills Inn is located in a 200-year old stone house, about 1/2 hour from the inn. Set in
the countryside, our favorite room has a fireplace, and the new patio room overlooks the
gardens. Jay Schaeffer raised his family here and has won the Zagat award several years
for his wonderful country French cuisine. Some of our favorites:
- Lump crab and asparagus baked in a puff pastry tart with lemon basil hollandaise.
- Grilled beef filet mignon with gratin dauphinois potatoes and green peppercorn sauce.
- Fresh Maine lobster cakes served on a chiffonade of field greens with a warm tartare
sauce.

Lily's on
Main is a fun, interesting place to dine. Decorated in art deco style, it is located in
the heart of downtown Ephrata in one of the only new buildings amidst a town of century
homes. Steve named the restaurant for his daughter, Lily. It is located about 15 minutes
from the inn. Here are our recommendations:
- Lily's crabcakes sauteed with roasted peppers, grilled corn, served with fresh tomato,
basil tartar sauce.
- Raspberry chicken sauteed with almond bread crumbs, brie, Chambord sauce.
- Ravioli du Jour always creative and yummy.
